Who we are

Sometimes you feel that life has more in store. At least, that is how we sat on the couch in our house in Leeuwarden (the Netherlands) in 2023, just before we decided to find a new place to live somewhere in Europe. A place where we live closer to nature and can structure our days in a way that suits us. We sold our house and gave away almost all our belongings to take the leap.

What started as an experiment turned into a camper trip of a year and two months. This journey eventually took us to a spot right in the middle of the forest in southern Sweden. But even now that we have landed, we aren’t sitting still. These curious souls love discovering new places, and our Google Maps map keeps growing with fun pins of places we have either already been to or really want to visit.

By now, the most frequently asked questions on our Instagram account are: “What are nice places to visit in Sweden?”, “Do you have tips for nice loppis?”, and “Do you know a beautiful hiking route in the south?”. We thought, we should do something with that. And that is how this guide came into being. Not a real travel guide, but a Google Maps map full of places we have discovered ourselves or would still like to discover. Additionally, you will find a number of highlights per region in this e-book.
